Coverage Area and Travel Fees

I have created this page to post travel fees. The prices listed on the "Menu" page are for local customers (with in a 1 hour driving range).

Coverage Area is limited to 2 hours drive time with truck and trailer. Any thing over 2 hours can be negotiated but it will not be cheap.

Now that means I don't want to hear about how you have some magic power to make Long Island 20 minutes from Frenchtown or Mapquest is run by "anti-pig roast people" or you know a good short cut to Cape May. I just use Mapquest to get a basic idea on this web page. I use a more detalied program to generate directions, distances and to check for roads and streets that may restrict vehicles with trailers.

Reason for "travel fee":

Fuel cost is number 1 reason. A truck/van & trailer do not get very good gas mileage.

Wear and tear on the vehicle and trailer. I need not tell anyone about the condition of some roads and highways in the tri-state area. It only take one good pot hole and there is $100.00+ for a new tire.

Time. I have to pay my help from the time they leave till they return. Yes that means if you are 2 hours away... well you do the math. And not to mention 1 hour loading time, 2 hours drive, 8 hours at the job, 2 hours back and 1 hour unload time make for a long day.So that is why I set the limit at 2 hours.

Less then an hour but outside Hunterdon County $35.00 to $50.00

 More than 1 hour $75.00 to $150.00

More than 2 hours starts at $250.00
